Breitung, Nancy Jean (18 April 1942 – 28 November 2018)
Nancy Jean Breitung, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 in her
home surrounded by the love of family. She will be so deeply missed.
Nancy was born in Neillsville, the daughter of Bergen and Alice (Hyland) Smith.
Nancy married James C Breitung on June 6, 1962. They moved to Ellsworth, Kansas
for a short time. They returned to Neillsville in 1966 and have resided here
since.
Nancy spent many years working in retail for local companies, such as: Coast to
Coast, The Farmers Store, and D&M Department store. After that she worked out of
her home, watching children/grandchildren for many years. She loved children so
much. Nancy also enjoyed roller skating, ice skating, working outside in her
gardens, decorating her house for the holidays, spending time with her family
and had a love for cooking.
Nancy is survived by, her husband, James C. Breitung, and 3 children. A son,
James Jr. (Traci) of Loyal, A daughter Kathy (Will) Statz, of Neillsville, and a
son Scott (Joani) of Merrillan; brothers, Arlo (Shirley), and Duane (Carla);
sisters, Gladys, and Etta (Bob) Czarnik; 6 Grandchildren, Ashley (Nick) Klimpke,
Amy Breitung, Eric (Whitney) Statz, Bailie Bautch-Breitung, Connor Breitung, and
Dakota Breitung; 3 Great-Grandchildren, Kenzie, Kaid and Maxtyn; A
sister-in-law, Dawn Smith, and many nieces, and nephews.
Nancy is preceded in death by, her parents, Bergen and Alice Smith, sisters;
Marie, Betty Smith, and Bonnie Straube, brothers; Everett, Oakley, Ralph,
Herbert, and Darwin Smith.
