Thomas, Jennifer “Jenni” M. (2 January 1952 – 28 November 2018)
Jennifer “Jenni” M. Thomas, 66, of Eleva died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018,
peacefully at her home.
Jenni was born Jan. 2, 1952, to Frank and Arlene (Etta) Thomas in Marshfield.
Following graduation from Greenwood High School in 1970, Jenni received her
degree from CVTC in 1972. She also studied at UW-Eau Claire. She worked many
years side-by-side with her father, Frank, helping run the family businesses.
Spending time with her family and friends was very important to Jenni; whether
it was playing cards, taking mother/daughter trips, or making new friends at the
gym. She loved long walks with her toes in the sand and eating She Crab Soup
while living for a month in Clearwater Beach, FL, this past April.
Jenni was a gifted artist who loved to paint and create amazing pottery. She
enjoyed reading, dancing to the oldies and watching Rachel Maddow. Her loving
and creative spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. David Scott; children: Dr. Natasha Rueth, MD
of Minneapolis, MN and Shawn Rueth; step-children: Jessica Scott of Louisville,
KY; Lauren (Mark Wedder of Liberty Township, OH; and Noah Scott of Mason, OH;
grandchildren: Jonathan Rueth, Norah Wedder and Max Scott Griffin; brothers:
Larry (Penny) of Spearfish, SD; David of Spencer and Randy Thomas of
Neillsville; sisters: Judy (Brent) Tuthill of Hendersonville, NC; and Vicki
(Jerry) Price of Mariposa, CA; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.
Jenni was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Arlene (Etta) Thomas.
A gathering to celebrate her life will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday,
Jn. 5, 2019, at Stella Blues (306 E. Madison Street) in Eau Claire. A private
interment will be held at a later date. Evergreen Funeral Home and Crematory is
