The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will hold a public meeting on Tuesday evening, November 16, to present information and answer questions about the recent and upcoming activities at Scrap Processing - Medford’s Superfund site.

The meeting will be held at the Multi-purpose Building at the Hwy 13/64 intersection in Medford at 7 p.m.

Last April, the EPA in cooperation with Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) began a remedial investigation at the site and in September removed the contaminated soil, installed two monitoring wells, and conducted subsurface soil and groundwater sampling.

The November 16 meeting will summarize those activities, plus others scheduled to take place over the next several months.
