Miller, Thomas E. (25 JUL 1932 - 16 NOV 2018)
Thomas E. Miller, 86, Cornell, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at Cornell
Health Services.
Thomas was born in Cornell, July 25, 1932, the seventh son of LeRoy and Freda
Miller.
He was raised and went to school in Cornell. After graduating from Cornell High
School, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force for four years, and was proud to serve
his country in the Korean war.
Thomas worked for the Cornell Paper Mill for 42 years, and retired. He enjoyed
watching sports, especially his Green Bay Packers and went to a lot of the games
when they played at home. He also enjoyed being outdoors fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years – Judy (Huffcutt) Miller; grandchildren –
Chad Miller and Stacy (Brian) Schroeder; daughter-in-law – Lori Miller;
step-children – Steve McMahon, Jeff McMahon, Therese Lauth, Virginia Murray,
Victor McMahon and Steve Button; 14 step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren;
and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; eight brothers and sisters; one son –
Jeff Miller; one step-daughter – Kathy Avery; and two wives – Barbara and Pat.
A memorial service was held at noon, Monday, Nov. 19, at Borton-Leiser Funeral
Home in Cornell. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m., until the time of service Monday, at the
funeral home.
The family would like to give special thanks to Cornell Health Services, St.
Joseph’s Hospice and St. Croix Hospice for their wonderful care.
