Mildred Irene Schlosser, 101, of Rib Lake, passed away Sunday December 2, 2018 at Rib Lake Health Services, where she had resided for the last 5 years.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday December 7, 2018 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake. Father Otto Bucher will officiate. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mildred’s Grandsons: David Schlosser, Steve Schlosser and Craig Schlosser, Great Granddaughter Anna Klemann, Great Grandson Daniel Schlosser, and Grandson in Law David Miess. Visitation will be held Friday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of mass at Good Shepherd Church.

Mildred was born on March 23, 1917 to Andrew and Alma Johnson. She was the ninth child of ten siblings. She attended Sunnyside School in the Ogema area and dreamed of one day becoming a teacher. Mildred married Raymond W. Schlosser on April 27, 1936.

The couple settled in the Town of Rib Lake, and lived there for 70 plus years. Two sons were born Ray Jr. and Russell. Mildred was a homemaker, a master pie baker, gardener, wife, mother and good friend to all who knew her.

Ray and Mildred were married for 63 years. The couple loved to dance! Mildred enjoyed card games with neighbor Pauline, Chinese restaurants and shopping for pretty clothes. She enjoyed her Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren, even two Great Great Grandchildren the most. She always made sure they had enough well-wrapped gifts under the tree at Christmas time.

Mildred will be dearly missed by her Son Ryamond Jr. (Mary Ann) Schlosser of Rib Lake, Daughter in Law Nancy Schlosser of Plover, her five Grandchildren, nine Great Grandchildren, and two Great Grandchildren, also special nieces Kathleen Rindt, Catherine Siemeck and Sharon Nuemann.

Mildred was preceded in death by her beloved husband Raymond Sr., her son Russell, her Parents Andrew and Alma, and Siblings Lillian, Elmer, Ruth, Walter, Bert, Alice, Arthur, Minnie and Virginia.

She was of the Catholic faith, and a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church.

Hemer Funeral Service of Medford and Rib Lake has been entrusted with arrangements.
