Ziembo, Margaret “Margie” R. (Vlach) (11 JUL 1944 - 23 NOV 2018)

Margaret “Margie” R. Ziembo, 74, of Rib Lake, passed away on Friday, Nov. 23, 2018 at the Rib Lake Health Services.

A memorial service will he held on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 3 p.m. at the Rib Lake Ice Age Pavilion. Visitation will be held at from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. until the time of the service. Pastor David Clements will be officiating.

Margie was born on Tuesday, July 11, 1944 in the town of Rib Lake, the daughter of Adolph and Margaret (Faber) Vlach. She attended Ward Grade School and was a 1962 graduate of Rib Lake High School.

In 1962 Marge moved to Milwaukee and was employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield. She was united in marriage to Lawrence “Larry” P. Ziembo at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Rib Lake on June 6, 1964. They lived in Milwaukee and then moved to Chicago, Ill. It only took six months to decide that their home needed to be in Rib Lake. Margie and Larry moved back to Rib Lake and lived on the Ziembo farm. Shortly thereafter, they moved to the Village of Rib Lake in 1967.

Three sons were born and in 1975, Margie began her career with the Lakewood Credit Union, where she was employed as a teller. Margaret ultimately became the president of the credit union and was currently employed with them. She was a member of the Rib Lake Fish and Game for ten years and a twenty-eight-year member of the Ice Age Committee. She also had been a member of the Little Bohemia women’s bowling league. Margie enjoyed flowers, gardening and trips to the casino, but most of all, Margie loved her family. She will be remembered for her cooking, especially her potato salad and her tuna salad.

Margie will be dearly missed by her husband, Larry; three sons, Steven (Cindy) Ziembo and Andrew (Terese) Ziembo, all of Medford and Brian Ziembo of Rib Lake; four grandchildren, Brittany (James) Allen of Rib Lake and Kyle (Kayla) Ziembo, Connor Ziembo and Austin Ziembo, all of Medford; two step-grandchildren, Ginny (Kurt) Suchocki of Mosinee and Hannah (Nathan) Scheel of Wausau; two great-grandchildren, Aubri and Kenley Allen; two step-great-grandchildren, Macy and Benjamin Suchocki; one sister; Dorothy Hanke of Rib Lake; and two brothers, Daniel (Joyce) Vlach of Racine and Norman (Judy) Vlach of Rib Lake. Also surviving are nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph Vlach in 1976 and Margaret Vlach in 1992; one brother, Jerry (Ardith) Vlach; and one brother-in-law, Allan Hanke. Memorial contributions in memory of Margie may be given to the family to be used at a later date.
