Dahl, George (13 APR 1891 – 16 SEP 1974)
George Dahl, 83, 411 South Street, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), died at 8:30 a.m.
Monday, September 16, 1974 at his home.
Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at the trinity Lutheran Church,
with the Rev. William Humlie officiating. Burial will be held in the Lutheran
Cemetery.
The Rinka Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
George Dahl was born April 13, 1891 in Waupaca County, and received his
education in Clintonville area schools. He made cheese as a young man in Pine
Valley and later in Catlin Corners Cheese Factory. He purchased Pelsdorf Cheese
Factory in 1917. In 1920 he purchase the home farm, where he farmed until 1948,
when he moved to the city of Loyal.
He was married on November 8, 1916 in the Globe area to the former Alma Dux, who
preceded him in death on January 5, 1952.
He was a treasurer of Lincoln School District for a number of years, and also a
member of the Church Council at the Trinity Lutheran Church for a number of
years.
George Dahl is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Earl (Doris) Williams, Oak Creek,
Wisconsin; one son, Harold, Loyal; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;
two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Viola) Foemmel, Chili, and Mrs. Robert (Elsie) Stark,
Marshfield; and three brothers, Edward, Clintonville, Arthur, Granton, and
Arnold, Granton.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers, one half-sister, and
one half-brother.
