Many friends, relatives, and neighbors of Bill Ganther and Linda Franke gathered at Zion American Lutheran Church for their wedding on Saturday, September 21, 1974. A reception followed at Bali Hai in the afternoon, and a wedding dance was held at the Silver Dome on Saturday evening.

On Tuesday, September 17, Harriet Halvorson of Minnetonka, Minnesota brought her mother, Olive Finke of Spring Valley and Selma Reinkey of Rock Elm, down to the Crothers home for a day's visit in celebration of Mrs. Finke's 83rd birthday. Mrs. Finke is an aunt of Marcia Crothers, and Mr.s Reinkey, a cousin. Mrs. Steve Nelson and Shelley and Jane Bartsch joined the group.

The United Methodist Women of York Center will meet at the home of Fern Rowe for their monthly meeting on October 2.

September is the time when farmers are busy repairing buildings, installing new things, and refurbishing the farm and home.. David Andersons have installed a barn cleaner, the George Bixbys a pipeline milking system, the Marvin Naedlers are adding a garage and recreation room, the Reichs are re-shingling their house, and many others are repairing, etc.
