Miss Karen Elsinger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Elsinger, Loyal (Clark Co.,
Wis.), and John Nelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Nelson, R. 2, Loyal, were
united in marriage at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 1974 at St. Anthony's
Catholic Church, Loyal. Father Chester Osowski performed the nuptial mass.
Miss Jody Schoonover was the organist, and accompanied Mrs. Sharon Schoonover,
Mrs. Diane Anderegg, and Miss Judy Zettler, who sang.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was seen in a long sleeved
A-line gown with ruffled collar, cuffs, and hemline. Her headpiece was a Camelot
style cap of cotton and nylon lace,, and she carried an orchid surrounded by
white, yellow, and green roses.
Miss Shelby Elsinger, Loyal, was maid of honor, with Miss Pamela Elsinger, Mrs.
Joe Zupanc Jr., Mrs. John Pernsteiner, all of Loyal, as bridesmaids. Junior
bridesmaids were Jill Erickson, Madison, and Joli Fisher, Spencer.
The attendants were seen in long Kelly green gowns with ruffled collar and
bibbed front. They carried baskets of green, yellow, and white carnations.
Mr. Joseph Zupanc Jr., Loyal, was best man, and groomsmen were Jackie Nelson,
Loyal, Ralph Schmitt Jr., Granton, and John Pernsteiner, Loyal.
Mr. Jerry Elsinger, Spencer, and David Nelson, Loyal, were ushers.
A reception was held at the Star Lodge Motel, Loyal, with a supper in the church
basement. A dance was held at the Spencer Municipal Hall.
The bride is a 1971 graduate of Loyal High School, and is employed by ILC.
Conrath, Spencer.
Her husband attended Loyal High School and is employed at Artcraft in Spencer.
They will make their home at 404 S. Chestnut in Spencer.
