Steve McNeely, of Mapleway Terrace, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), received the Man of
the Year award in Loyal. His wife, Yvonne, was also present, when Byron Zepplin
made the presentation. In addition to an engraved plaque, Mr. and Mrs. McNeely
received flowers from the Loyal Area Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Zepplin pointed out the award was given to Mr. McNeely, not only for what he
had done with his business, but what he has done for all the businesses in the
Loyal community, and for his effort of keeping young families in the area, as
well as several senior citizen families.
Mr. McNeely was born and raised near Loyal, graduating from the loyal High
School in 1963. He attended the University of Wisconsin, River Falls, and was a
successful insurance salesman in Wausau, before returning to Loyal in 1971 to
form McNeely & Associates, a firm handling Time Insurance.
In 1972 the McNeely Development Corporation began the development of Mapleway
Terrace, a mobile home park. He has continued to develop this property since
that time.
