Christianson, Linda M. (Woodmansee) (16 MAY 1948 - 3 DEC 2018)

Linda M. Christianson, 70 of Edgar, died on Monday, December 3, 2018, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Jim, 1 daughter, Jen Brandt of Stratford, 1 son, Andy of Stanley, 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, Roddy Joe.

Linda Christianson’s family will receive friends beginning at 11:30 AM on Saturday, December 15, at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Bruce.

Linda M. Christianson, age 70, passed away on Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital surrounded by her family.

Linda was born on May 16, 1948, in Ladysmith, to Roderick and Cleo (Cote) Woodmansee. She attended Bruce Public School from which she graduated, and went on to Northland College in Ashland, graduating with an elementary teaching degree.

On June 12, 1970, she married James J. Christianson. They moved to Edgar, making this their lifelong home. Together they had two children. Jim and Lin enjoyed time spent traveling, fishing and outdoors with family and friends, also much time spent at their cabin up north. Linda was an elementary teacher for 38 years. She was at Edgar Public School for 28 years and St. John’s Catholic School for 10 years. She touched the lives of many children and made many lifelong relationships with many of the teachers, students and parents.

Linda’s special interests and hobbies included raising her family, spending many hours with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved working in her gardens, creating many handmade crafts, crocheting, sewing and scrapbooking. She also enjoyed going to the cabin up north, spending time on the lakes fishing and having lunch and going shopping with her many friends.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, James; her daughter, Jennifer Brandt, Jennifer’s children, Hunter Brandt (Sarah Hackbarth) & Hayden Brandt (Courtney Williams) and her son, Andrew & Angela Christianson, their children, Raegan Christianson, Skylar & Mason May, their children, Cameron & Clara May. She is also survived by her sister-in-laws, Carol Woodmansee & Shirley Woodmansee; her brother, R.J. Woodmansee and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Lewis Woodmansee and Allan Woodmansee.

Family, friends and others whose lives Linda touched are invited to Nash-Jackan Funeral Home - Bruce Chapel; 125 Arthur Avenue W; Bruce, WI 54819. There will be a prayer service at 11 a.m., followed by visitation at 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, Dec. 15, to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, just visit.
