Gaddy, Dean (21 SEP 1929 - 7 DEC 2018)

Dean Gaddy, 89 of Ladysmith, died on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Care & Rehab - Ladysmith.

Dean is survived by 1 son; Jerry (Bonnie) of Prairie Du Chien, 5 daughters; Wilma (Tom) Hladilek of Conrath, Wannetta (Scott) Soules of Glen Flora, Wanda Ducommun of Holcombe, Diene (Dennis) Patterson of Gilman and Donna (Doug) Barfknecht of Texas, 14 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 sister; Janetta Nottingham of Arkansas.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Marshfield Medical Center - Ladysmith Chapel with Deacon Doug Sorenson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Ladysmith.

Dean Gaddy, 89, of Ladysmith, died on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 at Ladysmith Care & Rehab.

Dean was born on Sept. 21, 1929 in Broken Arrow, Okla., to Ernest and Elvira (Coonce) Gaddy. He came to Rusk County in 1968. He married Ruth Dieter on July 3, 1948 in Illinois. She preceded him in death. He later married Joyce Mueller, who also preceded him in death.

He loved hunting, fishing, trucking and having coffee with friends at local restaurants. He enjoyed making jokes and telling stories. He loved cards and playing dice games. There was a special place in his heart for his beloved poodle, Peaches.

Dean is survived by his son, Jerry (Bonnie) of Prairie du Chien; his daughters; Wilma (Tom) Hladilek of Conrath, Wannetta (Scott) Soules of Glen Flora, Wanda Ducommun of Holcombe, Diene (Dennis) Patterson of Gilman and Donna (Doug) Barfknecht of Texas; 14 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and his sister, Janetta Nottingham of Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives and his sisters, Verline Meadows and Dora Smith.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the Marshfield Medical Center-Ladysmith Chapel with Deacon Doug Sorenson officiating.

Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Ladysmith.
