Names as pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) is
Father Robert B. Houston, formerly pastor of St. Stephen's Church in Chili
(Clark Co.). Father Houston began his duties on October 15, 1974, and had
previously served as principal of Columbus High School in Marshfield, prior to
his assignment to Chili, where he served for three years. He fills the vacancy
left by Father Koopman, who moved to Wilton, Wisconsin.

Fr. Robert Houston who became pastor at St. Mary's in Greenwood in 1974 (per
your post several years ago, see attached) remains a part of my special memories
when as a child we would drive up from Chicago to my Grandpa Joe's farm half-way
between Greenwood and Owen and attend Saturday night Mass at St. Mary's in
Greenwood. At Mass on Christmas Eve this year, while everyone was singing Angels
We Have Heard On High, I once again remembered Fr. Houston's thunderous voice
when he sang, "In Excelesis Deo" as he walked down the main aisle to the back of
church after Mass to greet everyone so many years ago. My family and I have
never forgotten him.
Do you know where he went after St. Mary's? By any chance is he still living?
