Gerhardt, Gladys Angeline (3 September 1930 – 5 December 2018)

Gladys A. Gerhardt, 88, of Neillsville died Wednesday, Dec 5, 2018 under the tender care of Riverside Assisted Living in Neillsville.

Gladys was born on Sept 3, 1930, the daughter of Gustave and Minnie (Wegner) Kalsow. She graduated from Neillsville High School in 1948. She was united in marriage to Calvin Gerhardt on June 3, 1950. Together they purchased the generational Gerhardt family farm and continued to farm there until their retirement. Calvin preceded Gladys in death on Dec 5, 2011. Gladys was a member of the United Methodist Church in Neillsville.

She is survived by a daughter, Judith (David) LaFond of La Crosse and son, Kenneth (Janet) Gerhardt of Neillsville; 5 grandchildren: Philip (Justine) LaFond, Melissa LaFond, Krystal (Dalyce) Neels, Kimberly (Tyler) Geske, and Benjamin Gerhardt, and 1 great granddaughter, Emory LaFond. She is also survived by a sister-in-law; Bernice Kalsow.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Calvin, brother, Donald Kalsow and sisters, Ruby Allen, Dorothy Buettner and Rachel Ristow.

Funeral services for Gladys will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor Douglas Bjerke will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday morning prior to the services at Gesche Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to, Riverside Assisted Living, 1214 W. 4th St., Neillsville, WI 54456.
