England, Mary Lou (1 September 1954 – 9 December 2018)

Mary Lou England, 64, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, December 9, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones.

Mary Lou Logar was born September 1, 1954 in Lorain, Ohio, to Joseph and Eileen (nee Reising) Logar, and was the youngest of six children. She attended Lorain South High School, before earning her bachelor’s degree in education from Bowling Green State University, and her master’s degree in education from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Mary Lou taught special education for more than 40 years, 29 of which were spent at Neillsville High School. She retired in 2017, with many fond memories of her students and lasting friendships with her coworkers.

Mary Lou was a devoted wife to her husband of 43 years, Craig England, Sr. They were married March 22, 1975 in Lorain, OH. After finishing her education at Bowling Green, Craig and Mary Lou moved to Neillsville, where they raised their four children, Craig Jr., Mark, Karen, and Laura, who brought joy to their lives.

Mary Lou was a committed member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, quilting, gardening, serving others, and socializing with friends from church and school.

Mary Lou is survived by her husband Craig and their children, Craig Jr. (Mindy Dillard), Mark (Kelly), Karen, and Laura (Dain) Rideau. She is further survived by her six grandchildren: Owen, August (Augie), Claire, and Elliott England; Elena Rideau; Cyrus Dillard-England. Mary Lou also leaves behind her sister Virginia Dorenkott, and her brothers Leonard (Kathy) Logar, William (Sandy) Logar, Lawrence (Linda) Logar; her brother-in-law Michael (Joan) England; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Eileen Logar, sister JoAnn Sheller, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Warren and Janet (nee Dawson) England.

Special thanks to her friends and family, the School District of Neillsville, and St. Mary’s Catholic Church, who have loved and supported Mary Lou and her family over the years.
