Brandner, Jon “Jack” M. (7 APR 1940 - 11 DEC 2018)
Jon “Jack” M. Brandner, 78, of Medford, passed away peacefully with his loving
family by his side on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018 at his residence in the city of
Medford under the care of Hope Hospice.
As requested by Jack, there will be a private family only memorial service at
Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford at a later date. His cremated remains
will be interred at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.
Jack was born on April 7, 1940 in Medford, the son of John H. and Lenore
(Mueller) Brandner.
Jack is survived by his wife of 54 plus years, Joanne (Long) Brandner, married
on Sept. 5, 1964. God blessed them with children, Nicholas (Amy) Brandner of
Medford and Ryan (Paola) Brandner of Wausau; grandchildren, Hannah, Bailey,
Paige, Lacey and Kenneth Brandner. He is further survived by siblings, Marjean
Bootzin of Marshfield, Carol (Wayne) Engel and Robert Brandner, all of Medford
and Paul Brandner of Tucson, Ariz.; in-laws, Rhodona (Richard) Murphy of
Friendship and James (Beverly) Long of Eagle River; cousins, aunts/uncles,
nieces and nephews.
His many true friends meant so much to him as he thought of them as buddies who
gave him a second chance (probably on the golf course).
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, Fred and
Esther (Gehrig) Long; brother-in-law, Ivan Bootzin; nephew, Christopher Murphy;
and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Hemer Funeral Service of Medford and Rib Lake is serving the family.
