Grendahl, Earl Harvey (6 MAR 1920 - 5 FEB 2014)

Earl Harvey Grendahl, 93, of Exeland, died on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at Cornell Area Care Center.

Earl was born on March 6, 1920, in Chetek, to Chris and Julia (Lundquist) Grendahl. He married Mildred M. Hovde 72 years ago.

He moved from the Milwaukee area to Exeland 28 years ago.

Earl is survived by his wife Mildred; his son Curtis (Sue) Grendahl of Milwaukee; his daughter Virginia Strong of Exeland; his grandsons Ken, Ray, Nathan and Josh, six great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; his brother Reuben Grendahl of Longview, Wash., and his sister Ardis Miracola of Milwaukee.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 1, at Exeland Mennonite Church with Jim Kauffman officiating. Family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A luncheon will follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in the name of Earl H. Grendahl are requested for Exeland Senior Center or Exeland Mennonite Church.

The Nash-Jackan Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
