Jelinek, Emma Elizabeth (Reit) (11 FEB 1927 - 16 NOV 2018)

Emma Elizabeth (Reit) Jelinek was born on February 11, 1927 in Stanley, WI to John and Mabel Reit (Phillippi) and died peacefully on November 16, 2018 surrounded by family.

She married Leo Jelinek on September 23, 1950 in Lake Geneva, WI. Her marriage was filled with love, family, and teamwork. She served at the Northern Center for 19 years and as the Town
Clerk of Wilson for many years. She belonged to the Pleasant Valley Mothers Club, the Red Hatters Club and was a very active member of the Maple Grove Bible Church where she served in the Ladies Aide.

Emma was very family orientated and always had hot coffee and a warm meal for anyone who visited. She taught family and friends various skills she mastered including driving, cooking, and was always involved in any construction project. People were drawn to her because of her caring compassionate manner. She could see the good in everyone, was hardworking and had the strength to endure anything that came her way. She made everyone feel special just by being near her, Emma has impacted so many lives and will be missed by all.

She is survived by her sister Mary Lauro, of Chicago, her children, Gary Jelinek (Karen) of Kenosha, John Jelinek of Stanley, and Joan King of Stanley, Grandmother of Brian Jelinek of Madison, Aaron Jelinek (Katie) of Chippewa Falls, Mathew Jelinek (Marissa Knowal)
of Kenosha, Jennifer Ledanski (Andrew) of Kenosha, Ashley Jelinek of Kenosha, Great-Grandmother of Drew, Tyler, and Jordan Jelinek of Chippewa Falls, Scarlet Jelinek of Kenosha, and Sasha and Gianna Ledanski of Kenosha.

Emma was preceded in death by her husband Leo Jelinek, and siblings Harm Reit, Wilma Aletich, and Jack Reit.

Visitation will be held at Plombon Funeral Home 502 N. Broadway St. Stanley WI, from 9AM to 11AM on Friday, November 23, 2018. Memorial service will follow at Plombon Funeral Home at 11 AM. Thereafter a lunch reception will be held at The Home Place 225 E. 4th Ave Stanley WI. Interment will take place in Edson Union Cemetery in the spring.
