Alfa Holm of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) received a plaque from Postmaster Lorraine
Fritz Friday afternoon, December 29, 1972, when she retired after 20 years of
postal service. The plaque read: "Awarded to Alfa Holm in grateful appreciation
for dedicated services during an honorable career of 30 years in the United
States postal service. Given on the occasion of retirement on December 31,
1972." It was signed by Clarence B. Gels, Postmaster General, Central Region.
Miss Holm served under three postmasters, Ed Laneville, Dorothy Nielsen Zasoba,
and Lorraine Fritz. She lives in Withee with her sister Karen and plans to take
life easy and do some traveling.
