The first of the year C.E. Beck, retired Owen businessman, submitted his resignation as treasurer of the Owen Community Club, a position he had held for the past 28 years. He cited his retirement and poor health his decision, and Ray Conzemius, club president, accepted the resignation with reluctance, and then appointed Lanny Auberg to fill the post.
