Babka Artice Elaine (15 September 1930- 16 December 2018)
Artice Elaine Babka, age 88, of Black River Falls, passed away December 16, 2018
at Aggies Country Living Nursing Home in Bloomer.
She was born September 15, 1930 on the farm near Neillsville, daughter of
Lucille (Davis) and Arthur Hubing. Artice went to Neillsville High School and
then beauty school to become a cosmetologist. She married Lawrence Babka on
October 4, 1958.
She raised a family and was a partner in the family laundromat business and
rental property business. She was active in the St Joseph parish and school was
also always volunteering for community activities.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Babka-Goldsmith (Joe) of Cumberland, her
son, Brian Babka of Hudson. She is further survived by her grandchildren,
Chelsea Goldsmith (Fiancé Chris Mayer) and Jenna Goldsmith, brother Brad
(Winnie) Hubing, sister-in-law, Carol (Foemmel) Hubing; special niece, Kathy
(Hubing) Hazelwood; and many nieces and nephews.
Artice is preceded in death by her husband Lawrence; parents, Lucille and
Arthur; brother, Wendell Hubing; special Aunt, Lila Hubing; and her
brothers-in-law, William Babka and Lawrence Kraker; sisters-in-law, Maureen
Hubing, Marcy Babka, Maureen Krauter, and Violet Kraker.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Buswell
Funeral Home (106 S. 2nd Street, Black River Falls, Wisconsin) with Father
Emmanuel Famiyeh officiating.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of services on Saturday at the
funeral home.
Memorials can be made to cancer research.
Buswell Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
