Roohr, Clara (10 SEP 1886 – 24 JAN 1973)
At 11 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 1973, funeral services for Clara Roohr, 86,
were conducted from St. Katherine's Episcopal Church, Owen. Fr. Alexander Frei
(?) officiated and burial was made in the town of Beaver Cemetery (Clark Co.,
Wis.).
Serving as pallbearers were Wayne Roohr, Melvin Roohr, Leo Wisnosky, Donald
Wisnosky, Paul Hein and DeWayne Neuman.
Mrs. Roohr passed away January 24, 1973 at the Colonial Nursing Home, Colby,
where she had been a resident for several months of complications of old age.
She was born September 10, 1886 at Oshkosh, and made her home in the Riplinger
(Clark Co.) area for many years after her marriage to Fred Roohr, who preceded
her in death, passing away in April of 1953. For many years thereafter she made
her home living with her daughter, Mrs. Paul Stasek Sr.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Dorothy) Stasek and Mrs. Louis
(Alice) Burhop, Owen; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers.
