The 1973 award winners at Owen-Withee were announced this week, with the
recipients being Linda Frederick daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Frederick
(separate article) of rural route, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and Dawn
Klapatauskas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Klapatauskas, Withee (Clark Co.).
The award is given annually to girls with outstanding qualifications of
dependability, service, leadership and patriotism.
In recalling Dawn's activities and merits, on finds that she is among Who's Who
in American High School students, 1972 Badger Girl, school play, the Annual
staff, FRA, Student Council, National Honor Society, forensics, G.A.A., track,
Drama Club, and is a volunteer worker at the Clark County Hospital. After
graduation she intends to become a nurs, and will enroll at Milwaukee County
General Hospital.
