Pomputis, Alfred (7 NOV 1924 – 4 APR 1973)
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home
for Alfred Pomputis, 48, of route 2, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), who was pronounce
dead on arrival at Victory Memorial Hospital in Stanley on Wednesday, April 4,
1973.
Fr. George Becker of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen, officiated, and
burial was made at the Riverside Cemetery.
Mr. Pomputis was born November 7, 1924 in Longwood (Clark Co.). He worked for
many years at a paper manufacturing plant in Chicago, and for the past year had
lived at Withee and worked as a pulp cutter.
Survivors include three brothers, Tony Pomputis, route 2, Withee; Adolph
Pomputis, Chicago, and George Pomputis, route 1, Withee; and three sisters, Mrs.
Elmer (Julia) Twait, Mrs. Lucille Jantis, and Mrs. Edward (Mary) Rinehart, all
of Chicago.
A sister preceded him in death.
