The War is Won and in placing credit and handling out laurels the American
farmer is not to be forgotten.
During the season of 1918, the American Farmer took his place with the rest of
the Patriots in buying bonds, and donating to the various War Agencies, he gave
his valiant sons and in addition, he harvested 22,000,000 acres more land than
he has ever harvested before. The record is nothing short of marvelous.
But his burden does not end with War, The World still must eat.
