Ploeckelman, Kenneth "Tippy" F. (27 MAR 1938 - 14 DEC 2018)

Kenneth "Tippy" F. Ploeckelman, age 80, of Dorchester, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Aspirus Care and Rehabilitation in Medford under the tender care of hospice.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. The Rev. Donald Bruce will officiate. Interment to follow at Dorchester Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Dorchester American Legion Post #517. Family and friends are welcome from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.

Tippy was born on March 27, 1938, the son of Franklin and Rose (Engel) Ploeckelman in the Town of Mayville. He enlisted in the Army National Guard and was called into service during the Berlin Crisis. On August 19, 1961, Kenneth was united in marriage to Donna Luebke. Tippy was a truck driver for many years, including driving for Henry Blume and Liberty Homes retiring at the age of 72.

Tippy is survived by his wife, Donna of Abbotsford; two sons, Jim (Deb) of Athens and John (Dawn) of Medford; seven grandchildren: Danielle (Darren) Bornbach, Mandi (Mike) Troiber, Joey, Jesse, Lewis, Jason and Derek; six great-grandchildren: George, Graci, Jack, Ella, Libby and Rhiley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Marie; his grandson, Duwayne and his brother, Bobby.
