At 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 1973, James V. Barager, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.R.
Barager, city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), received his Master’s Degree in in
Systems Management from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. The
90th annual commencement exercise was held at Alumni Memorial Park.
The Trojan Concert Band played during the processional and the University
Concert Choir sang “Verbum Caro Factum Est,” by Hassler during the program.
Awarding of certificates and conferring of degrees was done by the president of
the University.
Lt. Barager received his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration at the
University of Wisconsin, Madison, in January of 1970, and has been stationed at
March Air Force Base, near Riverside, California, where they reside. He has been
serving as assistant procurement officer at the base. He and Mrs. Barager have
two children, Robert, age 3, and Jill, who is two months of age. Lt. Barager has
accepted orders to serve the next two and one-half years in Brindsi, Italy as
chief procurement officer. They expect to leave for Italy about the 10th of
August.
