Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Geary and Dorothy joined the Clifford Nenzel family of
Stanley at Holcombe for a weekend outing.
Members of the Midway Homemakers who went on the homemakers tour to Merrill,
Tomahawk, Rhinelander and Woodruff on Tuesday, were: Mrs. Carrie Matthias, Mrs.
Kitty Hingis, Dorothy Geary, Anita Dunow, Mrs. George Lindau, Mrs. Albert
Rohland, and Mrs. Arthur Davis.
Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Peissig and family of New Highlands, California are
visiting the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Peissig.
Rev. and Mrs. Gordon Sorensen and children of Wausau spent Saturday at the home
of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Thompson. They were accompanied by Miss Tais
Normandy of Rio DeJaniero, Brazil. Miss Normandy is a member of the “Youth for
Understand” program, and is living with the Sorensens this year. Rev. Sorensen
has recently been transferred to serve the First United Methodist Church at
Wausau, after being pastor of the Methodist Church at Beaver Dam the past six
years.
Sunday visitors at the Roix home were Mr. and Mrs. Duane O’Dell of St. Paul and
Mr. and Mrs. Dan Schultz of Withee.
