Bethke, Vivian P. (30 MAY 1928 - 4 JUN 2008)
Vivian P. Bethke, 80, of Cornell passed away Wednesday, June 4, at St. Joseph's
Hospital in Chippewa Falls.
She was born the daughter of Herman and Laura (Adolphi) Lieder on May 30, 1928,
in Courtland, Minn. Vivian moved to Cornell with her parents when she was a
young girl. She attended school in Cornell and married Ewald Bethke on March 1,
1953, in Minnesota. She had been employed at National Presto Industries in Eau
Claire for a period of time. Vivian was a loving mother and enjoyed her flowers.
She also liked to sew and make clothes for her family.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Darwin (LaVonne) Bethke of Fond du Lac;
two grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Irma Lieder.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Darrell and Philip; and a brother,
Charlie Lieder.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Borton Funeral Home in
Cornell, with the Rev. James Leschensky officiating. Burial will be in the
Cornell Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral
home.
The family would like to thank the St. Joseph's extended care personnel and
Chaplain Dan Rider for their care.
