McComb, John R. (14 NOV 1953 – 18 JUL 1973)

John Roger McComb, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), and the son of Mr. and Mrs. George McComb, Owen, succumbed to a lingering illness of two years at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, Wednesday, July 18, 1973.

He was 19 years of age.

Funeral services will be conducted from the First Congregational Church, Owen, with Rev. Kurt Sampson officiating, at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 21st. Burial will be made at Riverside Cemetery.

Friends may begin making visitations in the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home at 3 p.m. Friday.

John Roger McComb was born November 14, 1953 at Chippewa Falls, and after completing his schooling, was employed as an auto mechanic until he became ill.

In December 1971 he was married to the former Diane Cruickshank in a ceremony performed in Chicago. She survives him, as does a 14-month-old daughter, Jennifer; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George McComb, Owen; three sisters, Mrs. John (Jill) Duel, and Joan McComb, Owen, and Mrs. Wayne (June) Hess, Chicago, Illinois, and three brothers, Jack McComb, Rolling Meadows, Illinois, Jamese McComb, Chicago, Illinois, and Joel McComb, Owen.
