Hansen, Arthur E. (15 FEB 1893 – 18 AUG 1973)
Rites were conducted at 1:30 a.m., Monday, August 30, 1973 at the Kraut-Maurina
Funeral Home in Owen for Dr. Arthur E. Hansen, 80, of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.),
who died at 2 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. He had been
admitted to the hospital on August 12.
The Rev. Roger Tellock, pastor of St. Paul's American Lutheran Church in
Curtiss, officiated, and burial as made in the Withee Riverside Cemetery.
Dr. Hansen was born in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, February 15, 1893, and graduated
in 1915 from the Kansas City Veterinarian College. He practiced in Minnesota
before coming to Wisconsin, where he continued to practice in Wheeler and Eau
Claire. He also had practiced in Owen from 1932 until his retirement in 1966.
His marriage at St. James, Minnesota, on November 6, 1918, was to the former
Margie Hugget, who survives him.
Other survivors include two sons, Vern Hansen, route 1, Withee, and Delmar
Hansen, Des Plaines, Illinois; and five grandchildren.
He was a member of the Masonic FAM 317 Lodge of Owen.
Serving as pallbearers were Sabin Scherf, David McVey, Walter Fritz, Peter
Madsen, Lyle Haas and Clarence Strohkirch.
