Wright, Gage Allen (11 April 2006 – 6 January 2019)
Gage Wright, age 12, of Eau Claire, WI formerly of Neillsville, died Sunday,
January 6, 2019 at his home in Eau Claire.
Gage Allen Wright was born on April 11, 2006 in Neillsville, the son of Alan
Dean and Ashleigh Marie (Bergey-White) Wright. He attended school in Neillsville
and Tomahawk, before moving to Eau Claire, where he attended Meadowview
Elementary School and, currently, North Star Middle School. He was a straight
“A” student in school and received the Presidential Award for Academics. He was
a member of the Robotics Club and played in the school band. Recently, he was
nominated for the honors band, and next month was going to play with the
orchestra. When he wasn’t busy with school activities, he would help at “The
Wright Place Saloon” his family’s restaurant in Black River Falls.
Gage loved music and art. He loved to sing and cook especially macaroni and
cheese. He loved baseball and played on the Eau Claire Nationals Team. He was a
fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers. And, he loved going for
motorcycle rides with his Dad.
He is survived by his father, Alan (Lauren) Wright of Eau Claire, his mother,
Ashleigh Wright of Minocqua, brothers, Kane Wright, Dylan Olson and Blake Olson
all of Eau Claire, his maternal grandmother, Laurie (Harold) Berry of Medford,
his paternal grandparents, Don and Linda Wright of Granton, and his
step-grandmother, Pam McLendon of Washington D.C.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ed Bergey.
Funeral Services for Gage will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019
at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor Douglas Bjerke will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday at the Gesche Funeral
Home.
