Hutman, Patricia "Trish" (3 JAN 1948 – 12 JAN 2019)

Abbotsford - Patricia (Trish) Hutman, age 71 of Abbotsford, died on Saturday, January 12 at Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, Minnesota surrounded by her daughters and family. There will be a visitation on Friday, January 18 from 4:00-8:00 at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. A mass will be held at 11:30 on Saturday, January 19 at St Mary's Catholic Church in Colby, officiated by Father Hiebl. Friends may also visit with family one hour prior to mass.

Trish was born on January 3, 1948 in Medford, Wisconsin, the second of Henry and Julia (O'Hagan) Spence's 11 children. She graduated in 1966 from Dor-Abby High School.

She is now reunited with the love of her life, John Hutman. Trish and John dated through high school and were married on December 26, 1966 at St Bernard's Catholic Church. They truly cherished each other. John regularly left Trish love notes hidden all over their home and business. It was rare to see Trish without John. Heaven better clear the dance floor so they can dance again to Johnny Angel, their favorite song.

John and Trish owned and operated Hutman Heating in Abbotsford since 1968. They raised their children in their family business while they worked long hours each day. They were quick to help customers by not only offering 24-hour service, but offering free or discounted services to someone in need. Trish ran the office and John did all the estimating and service calls. Their daughters learned about business and developed strong work ethic by watching their parents and working with them.

Trish was an active member of St Mary's Catholic Church. She lived her faith by teaching high school Catechism and volunteering at bake sales, church bazaars and the Colby Cheese Days stand. She was an active member in the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce, Christmas Parade Committee, and Lions. She looked forward to meeting friends each Wednesday for dominoes.

God and family were huge priorities and they were proud of their seven daughters. Trish often referred to them as her circle of love. Trish looked forward to time with her family laughing and sharing stories.

She was known for her sassy personality and positive attitude. Trish battled significant health issues for 40 years, yet she remained optimistic often saying she was "bordering on excellent".

Trish is lovingly survived by her six girls: Angela (Craig) Johnson, Farmington, MN; Leslie (James) York, North St Paul, MN; Crystal (Mike) Miller, Hudson, WI; Tabetha (David) Otten, Abbotsford, WI; Given (Matt) Suttner, Minneapolis, MN; Briana Hutman, Abbotsford, WI. Her treasured grandchildren include: Ty, Drew and Emma Johnson; Spencer and Abigail York; Julia and Ashley Otten; Angelo Hutman and Gabriel Zamora-Hutman.

Trish is also reunited in heaven with her daughter, Miranda Hutman.

Trish was the second oldest of her ten siblings: Mary (Jim) Nehrlich, Unity, WI; Barb (Bob-deceased) Cartalucca, St Paul, MN; Mike (Mariane) Spence, Beach Park, IL; Penny (Marsha Samways) Spence, St Paul, MN; Arlene (Ron) Arndt, Montello, WI; Bob (Rhonda) Pineville, NC; Sue Daniel, Minneapolis, MN; Rick (Laurie), Lockport, IL; John Spence, Leedsbury, FL: and Ann (Michael Karlovitz) Spence, Chicago, IL.

Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home of Abbotsford is assisting the family with arrangements.
