Patrons of a youth arcade in downtown Medford are giving Medford’s Main St. a
bad name, tavern owner Jim Metz told the Common Council recently.
According to Metz, youth hanging out in front of the arcade harass motorists and
pedestrians and leave debris in front of the building. “It’s not doing the town
any good” Metz said. “The kids are out in the streets - they’re playing out
there - and in the morning it’s a trash pile. I’ve called the police five or six
times a week, but the kids leave when the ops show up and come right back when
they leave.”
Mayor Dee Meyer said she knows it’s a problem, but that the police have asked
that people keep calling them so they’ve got a complaint on record.
