A Medford man’s $1.9 million lawsuit against 23 Taylor County officials over his
right to drive without a license has been dismissed by Federal District Judge
Barbara Crabb.
He has been ordered to pay the legal expenses of all the defendants (with one
exception) plus reasonable attorney’s fees.
The suit was filed last September by Todd Verdone, who claims State Statutes
require a driver to be licensed only if he or she used the vehicle for commerce
(for hire).
Verdone has appealed Crabb’s descision, and had also served her with a notice of
demand to reconsider because he says her opinion and order has no basis in fact
or law “and is accordingly doltish.”
