A proposed new dental clinic in Medford hopes to employ between 25 and 30 people
including five dentists and five hygienists and would serve primarily low income
residents in the county, said Greg Nycz, executive director of the Family Health
Center of Marshfield.
The Family Health Center operates similar clinics in Ladysmith, Park Falls and
Chippewa Falls and is hoping to secure federal grant funding to open a facility
here.
“We are seeing a lot of people from Taylor County at our other centers. They are
driving 50 to 60 miles to get dental care,” Nycz said, noting there were
approximately 750 existing patients at the Ladysmith clinic who identified
Taylor County as their county of residence.
