Ovyn, Bernice (12 FEB 1916 – 26 SEP 1973)
Relief from a lingering illness came to Mrs. Dennis Ovyn, route 2, Owen (Clark
Co., Wis.), when she succumbed to its effects at St. Joseph's Hospital,
Marshfield, September 26, 1973. She was 57 years of age.
The former Bernice Lebwicki was born February 12, 1916, in Detroit, Michigan,
and on the 23rd of September 1939 was united in marriage to Gerard Ovyn in a
ceremony performed in Chicago, Illinois.
She is survived by her husband, a son, Dennis of route 2, Owen; three
grandchildren; a brother, Bruno Parnewicz, route 2, Withee; and four sisters,
Pauline Moravetz, Vicky Osmanski, Helen Anderson, Chicago, Illinois, and Lucille
Foster, Midlothian, Illinois.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 29th from St.
Stanislaus Church, Lublin, with Fr. Casmir Paul officiating. Burial was made in
the parish cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Kenneth Parnewicz, Kerry Parnewicz, Keith Parnewicz,
Eugene Osmanski Jr., Mark Foster, and Michael Moravetz.
