Alisa Bryan of Neillsville didn’t have to dream about what the next stage of her
career might look like. She could see it right in front of her.
Bryan is currently working as a housing coordinator for Ministry St. Joseph’s
Hospital in Marshfield, where she has been able to observe firsthand the
interaction between the medical staff and the pediatric patients.
“Working in that unit inspired me to become a nurse,” Bryan said.
Bryan took a huge step toward that goal Dec. 15 when she graduated from the
nursing-associate degree program at Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) in
Eau Claire. By passing her upcoming board exams, she can become a registered
nurse.
Bryan was one of 350 graduates honored at the fall commencement ceremony held at
UW-Eau Claire’s Zorn Arena.
“I’d really like to work in a neo-natal care unit,” Bryan said. She wants to
stay with Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital for the next stage of her career.
“I will keep working at my current job until there is a position posted,” Bryan
said.
Campuses are located in Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, Menomonie, Neillsville and
River Falls.
