Bennett, David E (26 JUN 1898 - 11 OCT 1973)
Services were held Monday afternoon, October 15, 1973 at Strang Funeral Home in
Antioch, Illinois, for David E. Bennett, 75, of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), who
died Thursday, October 11, 1973 at the Victory Memorial Hospital in Stanley.
Burial was made in the Bristol Township Cemetery in Kenosha County.
Mr. Bennett was born June 26, 1898, in Wales, England, and was married to the
former Margaret Hill on September, 6, 1922 at Waukegan, Illinois. She survives
him.
He had farmed in Illinois prior to coming to the Curtiss (Clark Co.) area in
1950. Following his retirement in 1968, he moved to the village of Withee.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, David Bennett Jr. III, Zion,
Illinois; two daughters, Mrs. John (Margaret) Bifkvpich, Youngstown, Ohio, and
Mrs. Harry (Anne) Meyer, Sand Diego, California.; two sisters, Miss Anna Bennett
and Miss Myfannie Bennett, both of Wales, England; four brothers, Richard,
Christmas, John and Edwin Bennett, all of Wales, England; 10 grandchildren, and
3 great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the Royal Order of Moose.
The Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home in Owen was in charge of arrangements.
