Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Rabska for four days were Mrs.
Katherine Hughes of Kittery, Maine; Mrs. Priscilla Hoblltzell of Portsmouth, New
Hampshire; Mrs. Peggy Misziak, Miss Shirley Church, Mrs. Lorraine Lisowski of
Chicago. It had been 27 years since the girls all had been together. They served
as nurse in the WAC in Army hospital throughout the United States from 1944 to
1946.
Mrs. Henry Isner, Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, returned to her home Thursday,
after spending some time with her daughter, Mrs. Roy Svenson, and enjoyed being
able to visit with her granddaughters, Suzann Sandra, who was visiting her
parents on Sunday. Mrs. Nellie Svenson joined all in driving Suzann to the Eau
Claire airport for her return trip to her home in Toronto, Ontario.
Mr. and Mrs. Art Meier spent last weekend visiting relatives in South Wayne,
Wisconsin, and at Mr. and Mrs. Roger Meier and family at Menomonee Falls.
Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Art Meier the past wweek were: Mrs. Henry
Nelson and Mr. and Mrs. Sig Arneson of Sturgis, Sask., Canada; Mrs. Elva
Hjelmeng, West Union, Iowa; Mrs. Ruth Halverson and Paula, Curtiss, and Mr. and
Mrs. Trygne Nelson, Deerfield, Illinois.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Backe took a week's vacation, returning home Thursday,
September 18, after visiting with their daughter Joan and family in Downers
Grove, Illinois, and with other relatives in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.
