Zaremba, Joseph J. (4 MAR 1906 – 11 NOV 1973)

Joseph J. Zaremba, route 2, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), died Sunday at his home. He was 67 years of age.

Funeral services were held yesterday, Wednesday, at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home here, with Rev. George A. Becker, pastor of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, officiating. Burial was made in the Withee Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Zaremba was born March 4, 1906 in Australia, and was married April 2, 1940 in Chicago to the former Sophie Romanowski, who survives him. The couple had just purchased a farm in the town of Hixon during the latter part of September of this year.

Prior to that they had lived in Chicago, and then moved to Elmhurst, Illinois, where they lived until 1960. While residing in Chicago he had been employed as a machine operator for Hubbart and Company there until his retirement in 1960.

From 1960 to 1967 they lived at Harwood Heights, Illinois, and until September of 1973 resided in Schaumburg, Illinois.

He was a former member of the Moose Lodge in Chicago.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Ronald Zaremba, Schaumburg, Illinois; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Darlene) Tomola, Schaumburg, Illinois; three sisters, Mrs. Walter (Mary) Genter, Mrs. Frank (Emily) Piech, and Mrs. Tony (Rose) Siemenikes, all of Chicago; a brother, Walter Zaremba, North Lake, Illinois, and a grandchild.
