The gradual and steady increase in the Taylor county bank statement during the
last ten years is a pretty good index of the growth, development and prosperity
of this part of the North Central Wisconsin Clover Belt.
Ten years ago the business of the First National and State Bank of this city and
the First National Bank of Rib Lake footed up about $600,000.
Today the amount is $960,000, add business of the three newer banks at Westboro,
Stetsonville and Gilman and the amount reaches $1,200,000.
