Berwald, Channing James “Dude” (30 NOV 2014 - 13 JAN 2019)
Channing James “Dude” Berwald, age four, Town of Ogema, Wisconsin, died at his
home on Sunday, January 13, 2019.
He was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on November 30, 2014, the son of
Calvin and Sara Berwald.
Channing possessed an infectious smile and laugh. Mom’s little helper and Dad’s
tractor buddy, “Little Dudimus” was very adventurous and loved the outdoors
where he enjoyed gathering worms, snakes, and “wogs.” He was a true farm boy and
mud magnet, working his tractors, playing in the sandbox, and collecting
dinosaurs. His wild and witty spirit will be deeply missed by his family.
Channing is survived by his parents, Calvin and Sara (Tvedt); by three siblings,
Chance, Calli, and Charina, all living at home; by his paternal grandmother,
Eunice Berwald, Estelline, SD; by his maternal grandparents, Ronald (Claudia)
Tvedt, Brandt, SD, and Lisa Olean, Watertown, SD; and by numerous aunts, uncles,
and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Arlen Berwald.
Funeral services will be held at the Ogema Baptist Church in Ogema at 2:00 P.M.
on Saturday, January 19, with Rev. Rodney Price and Rev. William Abeler,
Channing’s uncle, officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from
12:00 Noon until the time of service.
