Perry Blasel (26 Jul 1984 - 21 Sep 2001)
Perry Blasel, 17, Dorchester, died Friday, Sept. 21 at his home in the Town of
Mayville.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Sept. 24 at St. Louis Catholic Church in
Dorchester, with Rev. James Schaefer officiating. Burial took place at
Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were Chris Tesmer, Nick Sebold, Grant
Blair, Clayton Decker, Shawn Decker and Kevin Johnson.
Maurina Funeral Home of Dorchester assisted the family with arrangements.
Perry Blasel was born July 26, 1984 at Marshfield to Lee and Paula (Sebold)
Blasel. He attended Dorchester Elementary School and was in his Junior year at
Colby High School. He helped his parents on the family farm.
He was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church. He enjoyed collecting football
cards and Matchbox racing cars. He was also an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting
and fishing.
Survivors include his parents; three brothers, Darren (Kimberly Strathmann),
Curtiss, and Ryan and Alan, both of Dorchester; maternal grandparents Francis
and Dolores Sebold, Dorchester; paternal grandparents, Melvin and Sylvia Blasel,
Dorchester; and many aunts and uncles.
