Denise Kaye Neibacher (22 Sep 1973 – 4 Oct 1999) Denise Kaye Neibacher, 26, Owen, died on Oct. 4, 1999, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, where she was admitted earlier in the day.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, Oct.7, at 11 a.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Town of Holway, rural Medford.  Rev. Lauren Ley will preside and burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Holway.

Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m.

Denise Kaye Neibacher was born on Sept. 22, 1973, in Stanley, the daughter of Orville Louis and Doris (Annis) Neibacher.  She was a 1992 graduate of Medford High School.  With graduation, Denise was employed in the Adult Development Program with the Black River Industries in Medford having many positions until the time of her unexpected death.  She also worked part time at Mid-State Equipment, also in Medford.

Denise never let her disability keep her from thinking of others.  She was a secretary of the BRI Job Club for many years and an active member of the Special Olympics bowling, track and field teams.  She also enjoyed mini golf.  Denise would design her own remembrance greeting cards with poems.  She enjoyed sending and receiving letters, watching television and video’s while designing quilt blocks.  She was a Packer backer.  Denise was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, where she was a lay reader and usher.

Denise Kaye is survived by her mother, Doris Neibacher of Owen; a brother, Douglas Neibacher of Owen; a sister, Debra (Allan) Loney of Nichols; her maternal grandfather Rollin Annis of Owen; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her father, Orville L. Neibacher, on Sept. 26, 1997; maternal grandmother Kathryn Annis, and paternal grandparents Oscar and Dorothy Neibacher.
