Halver Gilbertson  (27 Mar 1908 – 6 Feb 1998)

Word was received of the death of Halver Gilbertson of San Gabriel, Cal., formerly of Curtiss.

He was born March 27, 1908, at Curtiss to Christ and Mattie Gilbertson. Before moving to Medford he farmed his parents' farm. He operated a tavern near Medford a few years, then tended bar for Gertie Lanser at Lanser's Bar in Medford for some years.

He died Feb. 6, 1998, at San Gabriel, Cal. where he was buried.

Surviving are his wife Cathy Scidmore Hofmann; step children and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two sisters: Martha Harmel and Kella Ackerman; and five brothers: Gunvelle, Engman, Adolph, Ole and Melvin.
