Clara G. Dallmann, (18 Feb 1916 – 3 Aug 1997)
Clara G. Dallmann, 81, Dorchester, died Sunday, August 3, at the Colonial House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Colby.
A memorial service was held Friday, August 8, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Dorchester with Rev. Jerome Freimuth officiating.
Burial was held in the Pinelawn Memorial Park in Milwaukee.
The former Clara Gumz was born February 18, 1916, in Milan, Town of Holton, to Frank and Amanda (Martens) Gumz. She married William “Bill” Dallmann in 1932 in Eagle River.
She and her husband moved to Milwaukee in 1940 and she worked as a dietary aide at a hospital there. They moved to Dorchester in 1976 and lived there until both entered the nursing home.
Survivors include her husband, William; a son, E. Darrell (Karen) Dallmann of Sun City, Ariz.; two brothers, Frank (Verna) Gumz of Marshfield and Raymond (Molly) Gumz of Wausau; a sister, Violet (Harvey) Glamann of Dorchester; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in
death by her parents; a daughter, Beverly in 1954; and three brothers, Martin,
Eldred and Clarence Gumz.
