Russell I. Dearth (3 Aug 1912 – 19 Nov 2002)

Russell Irving Dearth, 90, Owen, died Nov 19, 2002, at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Community Alliance Church in Withee.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Withee.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the Maurina Funeral Home in Owen.

He was born Aug. 3, 1912, in Owen to Joseph A. and Charlotte (Westlake) Dearth.  He married Cleo Pape and she died in 1962.  He married Frieda Matson Kraus on May 10, 1969, at Alliance Church.  He was employed by the Havenet Nursing Home in the maintenance department.

Survivors include his wife, Frieda Dearth of Owen; daughter, Sandra (John) Popp of Tomahawk; sons, Donald of St. Anne, Ill., and Duane of Prentice; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Tauchen of Dorchester and Wilda (Alfred) Olsen of Cut Bank, Mont.; and brother, Elmer (Hilda) Dearth of Owen.
