Melvin Juedes #3 (8 Jun 1918 – 21 Nov 2003)
Melvin Juedes, 85, Dorchester, died Friday, Nov. 21, 2003, at his home.
Mr. Juedes was born June 8, 1918, in Wausau to Bernard and Edna (Kalepp) Juedes. He attended Kreir School in the Town of Deer Creek.
On Oct. 19, 1943, he was united in marriage to Ruth Umlauft. She survives. They bought the Umlauft farm in 1952, where he farmed until his death.
Mr. Juedes enjoyed hunting and bowling. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, and a former member of the Dorchester and Cherokee Sportsman’s Clubs.
Survivors besides his wife include his children, Karen (John) Danen, Rochester, Minn., and Floyd Juedes, Dorchester; one brother, Ray Juedes, Colby; and one sister, Elaine Tessmer, Dorchester.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Don Juedes.
Funeral
services were held Wednesday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Dorchester. Burial
was in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. The Rev. Jerome
Freimuth presided. Pallbearers were John Schultz, Al Prestebak, Lavern Oehler,
Kenny Ellingson, Lloyd Kalepp, Adam Umlauft and Ron Juedes.
