Clifford Marcott (28 Jul 1917 – 1 Nov 2001)
Clifford Marcott, 84, Dorchester, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at the Clark County Health Care Center, Owen, where he had resided since October of 2000.
Mr. Marcott was born in Dorchester on July 28, 1917, the son of Victor and Alma (Sauter) Marcott. His marriage to Elizabeth Jasurda took place on Sept. 2, 1939, in Phillips.
He was a self-employed trucker, and was later employed with John Mertens Trucking, Dorchester. He and his wife farmed in the town of Mayville until retiring in 1974.
Mr. Marcott was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, and enjoyed playing cards, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include three daughters, Sharon (Mark) Molitor, Dorchester; Diane Lukowicz, Denver, Colo.; and Lana (John) Klimek, Wales; one son, Gary (Gloria) Marcott, Hastings, Minn.; two sisters, Vernetta (John) Leopold, Park Falls; and Dorothy Nath, Phillips; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford. The Rev. Dr. Paul Hunsicker presided.
Burial was held in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Mark, Jr., Jeffrey, Kevin, and Adam Molitor, and Shawn and Michael Marcott.

Clifford Victor Marcott, 84, Dorchester, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at Clark County Health Care Center, in Owen, where he had resided the past year.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 3 at Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford, with Rev. Paul Hunsicker officiating. Burial took place at Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mark Molitor Jr., Jeffrey Molitor, Kevin Molitor, Adam Molitor, Shawn Marcott and Michael Marcott.
Maurina Funeral Home of Dorchester assisted the family with arrangements.
